CD UNDER 17 REPRESENTATIVE PATHWAY

For the first time this season, both men's and women's Under 17 national tournaments will be held, with the female tournament a first for NZC under NZC's nationwide competition structure and set to be hosted by CD in Palmerston North!

2023/24 NATIONAL TOURNAMENT DATES

• NZC Men's Under 17 Tournament

18-25 January 2024 in Lincoln, Canterbury

• NZC Women's Under 17 Tournament

Last summer CDCA hosted a four-team NZC North Island tournament for Girls at Palmerston North's Fitzherbert Park from 9-12 January 2023

CD Under 17 Girls finished runners-up to Wellington U17 after a strong tournament, with Auckland U17 and Northern Districts U17 also competing in a mix of 35-over and T20 matches in the quad tournament over the week. Exciting signs for the future.

2018/19 - WHAT A KNOCK

In January 2019, young Central Districts batsman Sam Ferguson scored a rare double century at NZC's Under-17 national championships! Sam carried his bat for an innings of 200 not out at Lincoln's Bert Sutcliffe Oval on 20 January 2019

CD was very proud to qualify top for the 2019 Final at the NZC U17 men's nationals. Our team had won four of their five matches and took three bonus points to pip runner-up Auckland by one point. CD posted a good total of 224/8 in the final 50-over game with Will Clark reaching 99, but lost the title playoff to Auckland by 5 wickets
