Taranaki Cricket Association (TCA) is one of eight Districts forming Central Districts Cricket Association.

TCA has a strong history in women’s cricket with several former WHITE FERNS representatives coming from the province via the Central Hinds. Our women’s team has finished second in the last three editions of the Mike Shrimpton Trophy, contested by CD District Association teams.

We are now looking for a Women’s Head Coach to lead our Bartercard New Zealand Taranaki women’s team to the next level – building and driving a successful team environment, and working with players within the team to achieve their potential and aspirations.

The coach will be expected to work closely with TCA’s Director of Cricket to deliver the required coaching and development programmes.

The coach will be expected to plan and run team practices, and be available to attend all matches, as well as giving players the required one-on-one and technical support to enable them to achieve their goals.

A background in building successful sports team cultures and environments will be an advantage, and applicants should hold a minimum NZC Level 2 coaching qualification or the equivalent.

This role will commence on 1 September 2024, and conclude at the end of the 2024/25 Women’s Representative season. TCA envisages the role will be an average of 10-15 hours per week throughout the term.

Applicants for this position must be a NZ citizen or hold a valid NZ residency or work visa.
