CENTRAL HINDS opening bowler CLAUDIA GREEN has been selected for her first national team - joining HANNAH ROWE and NATALIE DODD in the New Zealand XI to play England in two warm-up fixtures from this Sunday.
Rowe and Dodd are among several WHITE FERNS picked alongside a selection of strong Domestic performers for a first look at the touring England women’s side in Queenstown.
The New Zealand women’s XI assembles tomorrow for the two one-day games and NZC Head of Women’s High Performance Ant Sharp says it provides a good opportunity for players to get back into one-day cricket after a diet of Dream11 Super Smash.

“There’s a nice mix of youth and experience in the squad,” said Sharp.
“The warm-up fixtures give a handful of WHITE FERNS an early look at the touring English side while also providing development opportunities for our younger cricketers.
“Naturally the national selectors are keen to look at those players who have performed well domestically. This team provides an opportunity to test those players against a strong touring side."
WHITE FERNS Bowling Coach and former Central Stag and BLACKCAP Jacob Oram will coach the XI, with WHITE FERNS Assistant Coach Rob Nicol.
The squad also features former Central Hind KATE SIMS who is in Canterbury on a Lincoln University scholarship.
