HANSEN BACK FOR HINDS

The return of allrounder MELISSA HANSEN is the only change to the Central Stags and Hinds squads named for the next Dream11 Super Smash doubleheader in Auckland this Saturday.

Hansen split the webbing on her left hand while bowling in Christchurch, and subsequently missed the Hinds' first win of the T20 season against the Otago Sparks in New Plymouth earlier this week.

After having opened the bowling on debut, ANNA GAGING makes way for the experienced Hansen's return as the squad looks to repeat its successful trip to Eden Park Outer Oval last summer, albeit without the injured ROSEMARY MAIR and MIKAELA GREIG in tow.

The Hinds are looking to continue moving their way up from the wrong end of the ladder while the Stags head to Auckland in a strong and exciting position.

POINTS TABLE

The team is equal with the Wellington Firebirds (five wins from six games) and the Canterbury Kings (who, like the Stags, have five wins from seven games) on points, with only net run rate separating the placings and all currently in control of their own destiny in the race to qualify for the three Finals spots.

The Aces meanwhile remain remarkably winless after six games - they were last season's beaten Finalists, but have regained the services of BLACKCAP Mark Chapman for Saturday afternoon's game that will be livestreamed on Spark Sport, together with the Hinds v Hearts beforehand.

Coming off a hard loss against the Stags at Pukekura, the midtable Otago Volts have also got four games in hand and remain an outside chance to qualify.

Central Stags allrounder JOSH CLARKSON and wicketkeeper-batsman DANE CLEAVER both reached 1000 Twenty20 runs for the team in Monday's class win against the Volts.
