After a draw against the Otago Volts in Nelson the Central Stags are looking forward to achieving a better result when they take the field against Canterbury at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on Saturday, 29 October.

There is no change to the Plunket Shield side that played the Volts with Seth Rance cleared to play after slight hamstring injury which means Liam Dudding stays behind after being 12^th man in Nelson.

George Worker and Adam Milne were not considered for selection due to injury, Navin Patel is unavailable due to university commitments and Ross Taylor and Doug Bracewell are currently doing national duty with the Blackcaps in India.
