BLACKCAPS, WINDIES HEADING TO NELSON, NAPIER IN NOVEMBER

The first big diary dates of the coming summer have arrived.

NEW ZEALAND CRICKET has inked in the home international fixtures list for the 2025/26 season, with top-notch International white-ball entertainment on its way to our Nelson and Napier venues this November.

Both of CD's flagship international grounds, Saxton Oval and McLean Park, have secured hosting rights for big matches between our New Zealand BLACKCAPS and the touring WEST INDIES.

Nelson's Saxton Oval was a full house when the BLACKCAPS hit town last season so make sure you're at the front of the queue with a presale code from CRICKET NATION when tickets go on sale - or stay tuned for our CD CRICKET hospitality ticket packs (including lounge access and food/bev package) that will go on sale for the events later this year.

The BLACKCAPS and WEST INDIES will play two T20 Internationals in the top of the South on consecutive days: Sunday, 9 November and Monday, 10 November 2025, both with 1.15PM start times for afternoon entertainment.

Then it's off to Hawke's Bay for a day/night One-Day International on Wednesday, 19 November at McLean Park, from 2PM with the second innings under lights, everything on tap for a spot of midweek relaxation after work.

CEO LANCE HAMILTON said CD Cricket was looking forward to hosting the BLACKCAPS and the WEST INDIES - whose team may include rising star MATTHEW FORDE.

Forde recently smashed the world's equal fastest One-Day International fifty, and is set to play for the Central Stags in Guyana next month at the ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League.

"White-ball internationals are a great day out with mates and family and we're excited to be hosting three of the matches in CD in the West Indies series," said Hamilton.

"I'm looking forward to seeing big crowds again at Saxton Oval and McLean Park where we will get to enjoy seeing two very exciting international teams, with great up-close viewing right around these two scenic grounds."

TVNZ+, TVNZ 1, TVNZ DUKE and radio partner Sport Nation will once again be the free-to-air host broadcasters of the NZC international summer, with the Alternative Commentary Collective covering BLACKCAPS matches via their digital channels.

NZC Chief Executive Scott Weenink said he was delighted NZC was able to wrap such an exciting home schedule around two major offshore, pinnacle tournaments.

“It’s great to welcome such a diverse range of opponents for both the BLACKCAPS and WHITE FERNS, and especially pleasing for NZC to host the first-ever series between Zimbabwe and New Zealand women,” he said.

“Fans will see top-tier cricket across all our major centres, with the doubleheaders against South Africa offering a chance to watch the very best female and male cricketers in the world on display in a unique day-out experience.

“We’re thrilled to build this exciting home summer around the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and on the back of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, giving our players a chance to shine on the global stage as well as at home in front of their own fans.

“We’ve seen fantastic crowds across the country over the past few seasons, and we're looking forward to that continuing this summer, given the strength of this schedule.”

Tickets for the NZC home international summer will go on sale in August, and will be available at nzc.nz.
