HINDS HEAD TO PALMY

After a great start to the season away, the CENTRAL HINDS are pumped for their first home games of the 2024/25 NZC women's Domestic season this weekend, with rounds three and four of the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield in Palmerston North.

The Hinds brought home a win, a bonus point and the Viv Stephens Memorial Trophy from Wellington a fortnight ago, as well as career-best six-fors in the books for both OCEAN BARTLETT and ROSEMARY MAIR who returns this weekend from a whistlestop trip across the Tasman, starring for the Hobart Hurricanes in the WBBL.

With CLAUDIA GREEN and KATE GAGING picking up career bests with the bat as well at the Basin, it was high fives all round, and has the Hinds in second spot on the ladder heading into this weeken'ds free admission games against the Auckland Hearts.

The Hinds selectors have named a squad of 12 for the busy weekend, Nelson pace bowler ANNA GAGING coming in for her first potential appearances of the season after an injury during last weekend's Mike Shrimpton Trophy matches ruled out CLAUDIA GREEN.

Local Palmy spinner ASHTUTI KUMAR is also sidelined as she continues her phased return to action following off season knee surgery.

For the Hearts. WHITE FERN Brooke Halliday returns to a strong squad.

Both matches at Fitzherbert Park begin at 10.30am, this Saturday and Sunday with free entry and a free livestream here at www.cdcricket.co.nz
