We were thrilled to see that 𝐃𝐫 𝐏𝐀𝐔𝐋 𝐌𝐀𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 was made a Member of the NZ Order of Merit (MNZM) in the 2023 New Year's Honours list, for services to the arts & the community.

Not many people know that Blackball-based Paul - a noted Kiwi film director and playwright who was born and raised in Palmerston North - played a sole first-class game for the Central Stags in January 1962, just days before his 17th birthday - making him the youngest player to have ever appeared for the Stag to this day!

Paul is Central Stags cap number 68 and obviously went on to bigger and brighter things in the arts community.
