HINDS WIN THRILLER!

After a string of heartbreaks in oh-so-close finishes in this summer's Dream11 Super Smash, our CENTRAL HINDS clinched a last-over thriller with two balls to spare for their second victory of the campaign.

HANNAH ROWE (27* off 25) and GEORGIA ATKINSON brought the side home with the bat at a warm Bay Oval after a good contribution at the top from EMILY CUNNINGHAM with a run-a-ball 28.

Earlier, ROSEMARY MAIR was outstanding after the Hinds were asked to field first - taking 3-12, including a wicket maiden, off her first three overs before finishing with 3-22.

Economical CLAUDIA GREEN (1-14) also made a big impact at the top with the ball, the pill jagging back a mile as she made the first breakthrough with Lucy Boucher gone at 18/1 in the third over.

Brave's other opening batter and former WHITE FERN, Katie Gurrey (58 not out off 50 balls) was in a mood, however, carrying her bat to score more than half of Brave's total of 110 for seven.

Both teams had headed into the match with just one win at the wrong end of the table, but sustained pressure with the ball got the visitors across the line for a four-wicket win with the two balls to spare.
