STAGLEY OVAL, HERE WE COME!

Unbeaten and top of the table after two rounds, the Central Stags are unchanged and excited as they head to Hagley Oval for tomorrow’s big Dream11 Super Smash clash with the Kings under lights.

The setting will bring back happy memories for the Stags who beat the Kings last season in the very first match under lights at this venue.

The Central Hinds meanwhile are hoping to make it third time lucky this season as they head to Hagley looking for their first win of the campaign — against the defending champions, the Canterbury Magicians.

The Hinds have added young Manawatu spinning allrounder Ashtuti Kumar to the side that went down to Wellington Blaze in their previous match, bringing the squad from 12 to 13.

Tomorrow’s doubleheader is the last away trip for both teams before they head home to Hawke’s Bay for their first home doubleheaders of the Dream11 Super Smash summer - a free admission Super Saturday afternoon at McLean Park on 18 December against the Otago Sparks and Volts.

That’s followed by the first ever T20 doubleheader at Palmerston North’s Fitzherbert Park on 27 December against the Auckland Hearts and Aces, followed by a trio of doubleheaders at Pukekura Park on 30 and 31 December and 8 January against the Northern Brave, Canterbury and Wellington teams.

Tickets for all matches (including online pre-registration for the free Napier doubleheader) are selling fast, and spectators are advised to book early and arrive at each venue with plenty of time to avoid missing the action.

BLACKCAPS Ross Taylor, Will Young and Ajaz Patel remain unavailable for the Central Stags whilst undergoing obligatory Managed Isolation Quarantine, and fast bowler Adam Milne is completing Home Isolation Quarantine.
