Central Districts selectors have named a strong Central Districts A line-up of 13 players to contest the annual North Island T20 Tournament in Taupo next week.

This season’s quadrangular tournament, contested by the Auckland, Northern Districts, Wellington and Central Districts Cricket Associations at Taupo’s Owen Delaney Park, will take place on November 21 and 22, each team playing twice on both days, culminating in Final playoffs on the final afternoon for tournament honours.

The CD A squad features a welcome return to cricket for Central Stags allrounders Josh Clarkson, who fractured his ulna in the nets in the lead-up to the 2017/18 season, and Ben Wheeler who has recovered from the hamstring injury that saw him play as a batsman only in the 2017 Chapple Cup late last month.

Central Stags top order batsman and Manawatu captain Mitch Renwick will lead the side, the squad accompanied by Central Districts A coach Aldin Smith and Central Stags Head Coach Heinrich Malan.
