ABBY TREDER GETS FIRST HINDS CALL-UP

After storming through CD's age-group and CD A pathway, Manawatū batter ABBY TREDER has earned her first selection for the CENTRAL HINDS.

The 19-year-old Tararua College graduate has represented CD U19 since 2021/22 and CD A Women since it was relaunched two seasons ago, and also caught the eye of national selectors in the build-up for the current ICC Under 19 Women's World Cup, playing Sri Lanka U19 and Australia U19 in Queensland alongside EMMA McLEOD with an NZC Development squad last year.

The Palmy-born uncapped right-hander comes into the Hinds' squad alongside Manawatū teammate ASHTUTI KUMAR who stands to make her first appearance for the team this season after a successful journey back from knee surgery, after an injury late last season.

ROSEMARY MAIR remains unavailable in the injury tent while star overseas pro HOLLIE ARMITAGE farewelled the team in the previous round's washout in Hamilton.

There have been a couple of changes for the top of the table CENTRAL STAGS as well as they head into Game Nine of the 10 regular season rounds, away to the Canterbury Kings at Hagley Oval tomorrow.

JOEY FIELD drops out of the 13 that was named for the abandoned fixture in Hamilton, and the squad shrinks to 12 for Christchurch with JOSH CLARKSON on expectant father duties.

Left-arm paceman RAY TOOLE comes back into the Stags' Dream11 Super Smash squad for the second time this season, the Stags close to locking in a berth in the 1-2 February Finals weekend in Wellington and able to control their destiny, but with nothing inked in just yet.

After tomorrow's big match at Hagley Oval, the teams return for one last home doubleheader of the exciting 2024/25 Dream11 Super Smash on Wednesday, with the Stags playing the Auckland Aces under lights at McLean Park after the Hinds and Hearts open the bill in the afternoon game.
