Central Districts Cricket Association would like to wish many happy returns today to Central Stags alumnus DAVE SPENCE who becomes the first #CDALUMNI from the team to blow out 95 candles!

Dave is still an active bowls player in Gosford and played 11 first-class / Plunket Shield matches for CD between the 1955/56 and 1961/62 seasons as a left-hand middle-order batsman and right-arm leg-spinner.

Born in Hastings, he played HAWKE CUP for both Hawke's Bay and Nelson (as captain), lifting the silverware and selected in the official Hawke Cup 'Team of the Century' that celebrated 100 years of Hawke Cup cricket in 2011.
