The CENTRAL DISTRICTS MEN'S UNDER 19 team is going where no CD U19 men's team has gone before: off to Lincoln as the defending national champion for the NZC Gillette Under 19 Men's Nationals.
Central Districts Cricket was proud to lift both the men's and women's national Under 19 titles last season, a second trophy in three years for our women at this level, but a first for the men, after many years of close attempts.
Palmerston North Boys' High scion and Manawatu rep JONTY FLECK will lead this summer's squad at the tournament beginning tomorrow at NZC's High Performance Centre - where the side will compete against the top emerging male players from the five other regions of New Zealand.
Matches on Bert Sutcliffe Oval will be live-streamed, with other games live-scored at www.nzc.nz and on the NZC app.
As defending champion, CD Under 19 begins on Bert Sutcliffe Oval tomorrow (Saturday 7 January) with the live-streamed one-day opener against Otago Under 19 starting at 10am.
CD then plays Auckland Under 19 on Lincoln Green on Sunday, Wellington Under 19 on Monday, Canterbury Under 19 on Wednesday (after Tuesday's rest day) on Lincoln No.3, and then their first T20 against ND U19 back on Bert Sutcliffe Oval at 10am on Thursday.
Later that day at 2.30pm the team moves over to Lincoln Green to play their T20 against Otago, with the final T20 match the following morning against Wellington, also on Lincoln No.3.
Central Districts Cricket wishes our squad and coaching staff all the very best for another exciting tilt this year!
