Central Stags spinner JAYDEN LENNOX will lead a strong Central Districts A team in the first men's A fixture of our summer.
Up to three new faces could make their CD A debut in this week's opening home three-dayer against Wellington A and they all come with impressive credentials.
Former Canterbury first-class top order batsman JACK BOYLE and former Wellington Firebirds Ford Trophy legspinner BRETT JOHNSON are both in line to make their first appearance for CD at any level.
They're joined by BAYLEY LATTER (below) who steps up from the national title-winning CD U19s.
Latter is fresh from representing the NZ Indoor Cricket Men's U22 side that won their World title in Melbourne against Australia last week.
The team also features an international representative in MA'ARA AVE with the contracted Central Stag having captained Cook Islands Men at ICC level this year.
Lennox and Ave are joined in the 12-strong squad by a clutch of fellow current or recent Central Stags in WILL CLARK, LIAM DUDDING, JOEY FIELD and BEVAN SMALL, as well as uncapped, contracted Stags batsman CURTIS HEAPHY.
The side is coached by Central Stags assistant coach ALDIN SMITH.
Play begins each day at 10.30am with livescores here at CDCRICKET.co.nz or follow on the NZC app. The three-day red-ball match is free admission every day at Napier's Nelson Park.
