It's nearly here! The BLACKCAPS Mace Tour is coming to Taranaki and Palmerston North this Thursday - a chance to meet ROSS TAYLOR, WILL YOUNG and DOUG BRACEWELL, BLACKCAPS team manager and Taranaki local MIKE 'Roman' SANDLE and of course get your photo with The Mace itself!
The BLACKCAPS kicked off their whistlestop roadie today up north in Whangarei to celebrate New Zealand's a-mace-ing World Test Championship victory.
Kiwis can come along to any of the free events to score a free commemorative poster and get a photo taken with The Mace, and meet BLACKCAPS stars and staff at each family-friendly venue.
The fun begins bright and early in New Plymouth this Thursday 29 July with the tour stopping off at New Plymouth Golf Club from 8AM to 9.30AM. All the locations on tour are all-weather venues, but bright skies are forecast for CD with the BLACKCAPS then heading down to Palmerston North's Fitzherbert Park that afternoon.
The lads will be at Fitzy Park from 3PM to 4.30PM with a special appearance from CD legend and ex-BLACKCAP MICHAEL MASON - the original "Mase" - who is gearing up to meet his namesake at his old home ground!
The BLACKCAPS will also be bringing the Mace (the trophy, that is) on tour to International venues this summer so that as many people as possible in our CD region will get the chance to see and celebrate the historic trophy with the team.
KIDS - BE IN TO WIN - DESIGN YOUR OWN MACE
ROSS TAYLOR, TOM BLUNDELL, WILL YOUNG, RACHIN RAVINDRA and LUKE RONCHI will also be at the Mace Tour stop at Te Papa in Wellington (7.30AM - 9AM this Friday 30 July) which may be a handy opportunity for supporters in our Kapiti-Coast and southernmost districts to experience the fun.
