CENTRAL HINDS HANNAH ROWE and ROSEMARY MAIR have once again been offered NZC contracts for the forthcoming season, but a cluster of new or returning names on the contracted players' list leaves no room this time around for wicketkeeper, run machine and Central Hinds Player of the Year NATALIE DODD.
Batsman Brooke Halliday (Northern Spirit), veteran allrounder Frankie Mackay (Canterbury Magicians) and Wellington Blaze wicketkeeper-batsman Jess McFadyen are the fresh players offered a national contract, while Blaze allrounder Thamsyn Newton - who was previously contracted to the WHITE FERNS from 2016 to 2018 - has also rejoined the elite list for the big 2021/22 season.
Previously contracted veterans Katie Perkins, Holly Huddleston and Anna Peterson (all Auckland Hearts) have all also been omitted from the 2020/21 list as WHITE FERNS head coach Bob Carter looks forward to an England tour this winter - and with the long-awaited one-day ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup looming in New Zealand next summer.

The contracting process is outlined in the NZC Master Agreement with the NZCPA and six Master Associations, with the overriding criterium a player's likely playing value to NZC for the contractual year ahead, with some emphasis also placed on their performance in the previous 12-month period.
The WHITE FERNS begin their winter training programme with a camp at Lincoln University in Canterbury, starting on 7 June 2021.
CDCA congratulates our Central Hinds Hannah Rowe and Rosemary Mair on their WHITE FERNS contract offers.
