This is the first time the Fans Choice award will be introduced with the winner chosen by fans who vote online. The nominations were made by former New Zealand Cricket President and selector, Don Neely; former BLACKCAP and current SKY Television commentator, Ian Smith; and veteran Radio Sport commentator, Bryan Waddle.
The winner is announced live on SKY TV with the award handed over by one lucky fan who will be flown to Auckland to attend the event.
